ASRA 2026

Mendaera at ASRA Spring 2026
Mendaera attended the 51st Annual Regional Anesthesiology and Acute Pain Medicine Meeting in Phoenix, where the Exhibit Hall poster session featured a presentation on the first nerve block procedures performed using the Focalist™ System. Precise needle placement is critical in nerve blocks, where targeting specific anatomical structures under ultrasound guidance requires both skill and confidence — making Focalist's handheld robotics with real-time ultrasound imaging a natural fit for regional anesthesia applications.
Drs. Amanda Sparks, Jacob Hutchins, and Aaron Berg of M Health Fairview (Minneapolis, MN) presented their experience performing first-in-North-America TAP blocks and first-in-world ACB and POP blocks using Focalist — all completed successfully on the first attempt. Their findings highlighted good practicality and safety, easy visualization of needle and anatomic targets, and the potential for broader use across nerve block types, patient populations, and varying levels of operator experience.
ASRA Spring 2026 marked Mendaera's first appearance at this conference, and the response exceeded expectations — our booth drew consistent, heavy interest throughout the meeting, with attendees eager for hands-on demonstrations of Focalist. The energy reflected genuine curiosity from the regional anesthesia community about how handheld robotics with ultrasound could support more precise and consistent needle placement in their procedures.
