SUFU 2026

The SUFU 2026 Winter Meeting in San Juan, Puerto Rico marked Mendaera's first appearance at this conference, where we brought the Focalist™ System to the expo floor for live demonstrations. Physicians visited our booth to explore how handheld robotics with ultrasound can support gaining access to the sacrum for lead placement in sacral neuromodulation (SNM) — a therapy for bladder and bowel dysfunction — with greater precision and confidence. The conversations reinforced strong interest among this community in tools that can simplify and standardize ultrasound-guided access.

SUFU brought together specialists deeply familiar with SNM, making it an ideal setting to discuss how Focalist fits into existing clinical workflows. Attendees explored the system's real-time imaging and handheld robotic guidance, and how it could support more consistent procedural outcomes across providers with varying experience levels.

Attending SUFU for the first time was a meaningful step as we expand Mendaera's presence across specialties that stand to benefit most from precision-guided access, and we look forward to continuing the conversations started in San Juan.

The Society of Urodynamics, Female Pelvic Medicine & Urogenital Reconstruction (SUFU) is a leading professional society dedicated to advancing the science and practice of urodynamics, female pelvic medicine, and urogenital reconstruction. The SUFU Annual Winter Meeting brings together specialists from urology and gynecology to share research, clinical advances, and best practices in pelvic floor disorders. The 2026 Winter Meeting was held February 25–28 in San Juan, Puerto Rico.
